- The purpose of this solicitation amendment is to update CLINS, update price-cost schedule response document and provide answers to questions from industry. 1. Detailed Waste Streams: - Could you provide a more detailed description or examples of the specific types of hazardous pharmaceuticals, lab stains, and other hazardous wastes listed in the solicitation? Lab Stains are a flammable liquid, Methanol Xylene. Although they are produced in the Lab they are not Pharm Hazardous Waste. Rx Destroyer Are a Hazardous Waste, but do to 40CFR 266 subpart P It is considered a Pharm waste. The other Hazardous Pharmaceuticals include (o-Cresol, Insulin) and (Inhalers). For our Hazardous Controlled Pharmaceuticals, They are shipped out by a Contractor with compliance from the DEA. These Drugs will not effect the Hazardous Waste Contract. Lab Hazardous waste include cartridges that contain items like(Sulfuric Acid, Cresol) And (Chlorine Dioxide), (Sodium Perchlorate). 2. Waste Collection Frequency: - The solicitation mentions bi-monthly trips for labor and transportation. Could you specify if this frequency is fixed, or if there is flexibility based on the volume of waste generated? The previous contract has the stipulation of a Bi-Monthly pickup. We would like to maintain this pick schedule. We are not equipped to hold large amounts of Hazardous Waste, or Universal Waste. 3. Special Handling Requirements: - Are there any special handling or disposal requirements for specific waste types (e.g., controlled substances, asbestos) that we need to be aware of beyond standard hazardous waste protocols? The controlled substances are handled with a different contract with Sharps Inc. All of the asbestos removal and disposal is written into the contracts with the abatement contractor, that they are responsible for the proper disposal of any and all asbestos material, that they remove. All quantities for CLIN 1001AM, 2001AM, 3001AM, 4001AM, 5001AM are hereby reduced to (0). 4. We would like to know if this is a brand-new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services. If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number A. This is not a new contract B. The incumbent is Earth Smart Environmental Solutions, Contract Number 36C25020P1495 Previous Contract Value: $240,557.40 Please see updated Price Cost Schedule 24Q0792-v2.xlsx attached.
