- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR QUOTES� THIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF AN UPCOMING SOLICITATION The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Southeast Area has a construction requirement for replacement of a 52-ton chiller at the Dale Bumper National Rice Research Center in Stuttgart, Arkansas. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the magnitude of this construction project is between $100,000 and $200,000. Pursuant to FAR Part 13, Request for Quotation (RFQ) may be issued on or around July 25, 2024; quotes will be due on or around August 13, 2024. It is anticipated the requirement will be 100% Total Set-Aside for small business under the applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors with a small business standard of $19 million. The procurement may require the use of biobased products. If required, contractors must use biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. Where available, these products should first be acquired from among qualified products that fall under the umbrella of items designated through the USDA BioPreferred Program. Any contractor interested in doing business with the Federal Government must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to submission of a quote. �SAM is a Federal Government owned and operated FREE website located at www.SAM.gov. All invoices for this procurement must be submitted through the Department of Treasury�s Invoice Processing Platform System (IPP).� IPP is a Federal Government owned and operated FREE website located at www.IPP.gov.
