Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 2 is issuing this sources-sought notice as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support an emergency requirement for boiler inspections, at the Northport VA Medical Center (79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768). The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Waste Disposal Equipment STATEMENT OF NEED: The Northport VA Medical Center requires boiler inspections on two boilers. Inspections shall be performed after, and immediately adjacent, cleanings (performed by a different contractor(s) which are tentatively scheduled for the first and third weeks in August. The Contractor shall provide all necessary supervision, project management, tools, materials, and equipment to perform inspections and identify any tube damage present. See boiler information below: 1968 40,000 lbs/hr Natural Gas #2 Fuel Oil 14651-3 Stamped NB4470 E. Keeler Company 1968 40,000 lbs/hr Natural Gas #2 Fuel Oil 14651-4 Stamped NB4471 E. Keeler Company Using a borescope, the contractor shall inspect all 1,114 tubes within both boilers from the steam drums to the mud drums and create a tube map showing tubes with blockages, if any, for each boiler. Contractor shall conduct magnetic particle and ultrasonic testing of the welds for both Boilers 4 & 3. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information and does not constitute a request for quotes; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to provide services consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the above-listed service requirement are invited to submit a response to this Sources-Sought Notice by July 15, 2024, at 12:00 pm ET.
