Description
This Request for Information (RFI) by Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is being released on behalf of Program Executive Office (PEO) Unmanned and Small Combatants, U.S. Navy and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Boats and Craft Program Office (PMS300) to solicit feedback from small boat builders and original equipment manufacturers (OEM) that build and provide equipment for boats up to approximately 85 feet in length. This RFI requests feedback on the contractual warranty terms and conditions that PMS300 intends to implement for future boat acquisition contracts. This initiative is intended to clarify and standardize warranty terms and conditions to support the small boat building industrial base and U.S. Navy in the current business environment. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Navy to acquire any products or services. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Navy will arise as a result of contractor responses to this RFI. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter negotiations to award a contract. Instructions and Responses: Boats Builders and OEMs Review Attachment A. which is the Builders Warranty T&C draft and provide feedback via Attachment B which is the Feedback Questionnaire. Email responses or inquiries to Alan Cummings at alan.k.cummings2.civ@us.navy.mil. To help ensure proper receipt, name the email USN Boat Warranty T&C Feedback in the subject field. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted and requests for solicitation packages will not be honored, as a solicitation is not prepared at this time. Other Government agency boat and craft procurement offices (e.g. U.S. Coast Guard, Custom & Border Protection, U.S. Army, Law Enforcement Agencies, etc.); please provide your agencys boat procurement Warranty Terms & Conditions and/or recommendations that may improve Dept. of the Navy procurements. All information must be received without restrictive markings. Do NOT submit proprietary data with the information provided. Do NOT submit any information that is classified or improperly marked as classified information (please note that this includes marking a document with the term Confidential).
