- Contract Opportunity: Repair of C-5 Motor Transmission Notice ID:� FA8538-24-R-0020 Synopsis for this requirement is being issued by AFSC/PZAAB (FA8538) in support of the 638 Supply Chain Management Group (SCMG), 409 Supply Chain Management Squadron (SCMS)/GUMB for issuance of a Fixed Price Requirements type contract for depot-level repair for the C-5 Motor Transmission: Autothrottle Servo (ATS), NSN: 6110-01-492-5228UC, PN: 2R9227A, and the Automatic Pilot Servo (APS), NSN: 6615-01- 493-4075UC, PN: 2R9226A. This effort will be a 5-year contract consisting of a 1-year Basic Period and four (4) 1-year ordering periods. This synopsis is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate utilizing Other Than Full and Open procedures in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Specifications, plans or draws relating to this procurement described above are not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Supplies or services required to satisfy agency requirements are available from only one responsible source MPC Products Corporation (Cage Code: 19710). The following information applies: The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiated with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
