Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office of Safety, Security and Asset Management�s (OSSAM) Security Services Office (SSO) intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI), 2101 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD� 20850. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The requirement is for implementation of new hardware that is compatibile with the existing equipment of the CDC Physical Security Intrusion Detection and Assessment System. This requirement is for OSSAM�s Occupational Health and Safety Office (OHSO) located in Atlanta, GA. �OHSO needs a new Iris ID 7000 Series Scanner + PIV reader for dual authentication to secure the area for the containment and storage of select agents and toxins.� The JCI hardware is compatible with exiting software and warranties of equipment.�� JCI has IT clearance to operate within the CDC IT secure network. The Contractor shall provide equipment and installation of New Iris ID, Iris 7000 Series Scanner + PIV reader for dual authentication.� Pricing includes labor and materials to supply a complete solution, including all reader accoutrements such as PIR, door contacts, and connections. The anticipated award date of this action is on or before July 19, 2024. The applicable NAICS code is 334290 Security and Detection Systems. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data and cost information, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to provide the warranties and proof as being an authorized distributor of the product. Capability statements shall not exceed� 2 (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10-point. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source purchase order. Capability statements are due by 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), July 17, 2024.
