- Is the company that is doing the boiler cleaning also inspecting the boiler? No. What is the inspection schedule? The tentative inspection/cleaning schedule: August 12-16: Boiler 4 inspection (not this contract) August 19-23 (or once boiler 4 is back online): Boiler 3 cleaning (this contract) August 26-30: Boiler 3 Inspection (not this contract) How much time do they need for their inspection? Inspection usually lasts 3-4 days. The contract states contractor shall mobilize no later than five (5) days after receiving notice to proceed (expected on or around August 19, 2024). , what is the period of performance for this contract? The period of performance is August 19, 2024, through September 26, 2024. However, work shall not begin on boiler 3 until the inspection is complete on boiler 4 and boiler 4 has been brought back online. Therefore, while the contract effective date is August 19, 2024, the COR will issue a Notice to Proceed once boiler 4 is back online. Once the contractor receives the Notice to Proceed, they shall mobilize to clean boiler 3 within five (5) days. What is the condition of the boiler? Over 10 years past its life expectancy. Not good.
