- UPDATE: 17 July 2024 - Issuance of the solicitation has been postponed.� Current project design is being reviewed and may be updated.� Update to this opportunity will be posted when design is finalized.�� This project is being solicited under AFFARS MP5332.7. Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs. Repair and replace the existing aircraft fire training facility. The work includes the following and incidental related work. Civil, site work and site utilities to support removal and replacement of the burn area, with collection sump & wet deck along with a rigid pavement ""burn pit ring"" encircling the burn pit to provide a hardstand for fire truck navigation & staging around the burn pit. Structural: The proposed project includes a new Fire Watch Observation Tower. The new Tower shall have concrete bearing on metal deck for the roof structure and the elevated floor bearing on reinforced CMU walls. Architectural: The project will demolish the existing metal plat form and standing seam metal covered area with an enclosed structure. The new structure will be a 400SF Aircraft Fire Training Facility with a railed observation deck on top. Mechanical: The new project will require the replacement of all utilities required to fully operate an Aircraft Fire Trainer and the conditioning of the new observation tower. Electrical: New power and LED lighting will be provided for the new fire trainer control tower. � This acquisition will be a 100% Small Business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220 with a size standard of $45M. This contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 15, Negotiated Procedures. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. Performance period is estimated 365 calendar days. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. Estimated magnitude for the total project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Bid bonds will be required with the proposal. Payment and performance bonds will be required within ten (10) days of contract award. The work is required in support of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 24 Jun 2024. Tentative date for a Site Visit, will be seven (7) calendar days after the posting of the solicitation. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the SAM Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a Unique Entity ID.
