- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. NO FORMAL SOLICITATION IS BEING REQUESTED UNDER THIS NOTICE. This Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes to identify interested firms for the potential requirement detailed below. The U.S. Geological Survey is conducting a MARKET SURVEY to determine the interest and capability of any small business firms eligible to compete under North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 333414, Heating Equipment (except Warm Air Furnaces) Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), National Wildlife Health Center (NWHC) has a requirement for a circulating water heater, that recirculates sea water through heating coils and delivers this to targets underwater at temperatures exceeding 80C and flow rates equal to or exceeding 6 L/min. The until will be used to kill invasive anemones at Joint Base Pear Harbor Hawaii (JBPHH) United States Navy (USN). THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT A QUOTATION AT THIS TIME. ALL COST ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION AS REQUESTED BY THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUSINESS FIRM. Submission is voluntary. All business concerns who believe they can responsibly provide this type of product should submit the following information to the Contracting Officer: 1. The firm shall specify the products that meets the requirement described herein, by providing product brochures or similar capability statements, including (a) RECENT (within the last three fiscal years) RELEVANT (similar projects to this requirement) performance history (identify the name of the owner and their point(s) of contact with telephone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses; and (b) in what capacity (e.g., prime, subcontractor etc.) they performed the work. 2. NAME, ADDRESS, and PHONE NUMBER OF THE FIRM (including UEI NUMBER); 3. Indicate your firm's socioeconomic status (e.g. small business, service-disabled veteran-owned, women owned, HUBZone, ISBE, etc.) This information will assist the Government in determining how small businesses can fit into the acquisition strategy. 4. Your firm must have and provide UEI number and be registered on-line at the System for Award Management (SAM). All responses must be submitted NLT Monday, July 22, 2024, at 5:00pm MT via e-mail to: Annie Howard at ahoward@usgs.gov. Note: This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Invitation for Bid (IFB) and does not constitute any commitment by the Government. Responses to this sources sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. All interested sources must respond to any future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this market survey. Any solicitation that may be issued will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website and no paper copies will be provided.
