- Fire Water Truck Pump Repair-Bitter Lake NWR, NM THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Joint Administrative Operations, Acquisition & Property Operations, FWS Division of Refuges, Bitter Lake NWR has a requirement for a pump repair on a fire water truck. The proposed contract action is for repair of a pump system on a fire water truck for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate a firm fixed price contract with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-l(b) to the following vendor: Siddons-Martin Emergency Group LLC 1362 E Richey Rd Houston, TX 77073-3505 Period of performance is 05/10/2024 through 09/10/2024. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811114 Specialized Automotive Repair; the business size standard is $9.05M. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service needs repairs done by a company capable of repairing a fire water truck including valves, seals, primer, and testing the pump package. This needs to be done quickly as we are locally heading into fire season and will need the engine for suppression support. Siddons-Martin Emergency Group is being requested as a sole source because they have already begun the troubleshooting of the engine, are within local commuting distance, and have a large enough shop to get the engine in service before the beginning of fire season. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within five calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement within the needed period of performance, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
