Description
Summary: Service and Preventative Maintenance contract for the Molecular Devices SpectraMax i3x Multi-mode Microplate Detection Platform located in the core laboratory of the Research and Development Service located at 10 North Greene St, room 3C-113, Baltimore, MD 21201. The core laboratory is a major operational hub for histology and other laboratory services offered the Principal Investigators of the VA Maryland Health Care System. The Molecular Devices SpectraMax i3x Multi-mode Microplate Detection Platform is a piece of equipment all funded investigators can use to examine cellular pathways and protein expression through measuring absorbance, fluorescence, and luminescence. Description of Work: The contractor will provide the following services: For the period of performance the vendor will provide an annual preventive maintenance service visit to ensure component calibration and optimization by trained and authorized service technicians. The equipment to be serviced by this purchase is a Molecular Devices SpectraMax i3x Multi-mode Microplate Detection Platform, consisting of the base system, fluorescence Polarization detection cartridge, time resolved fluorescence detection cartridge, AlphaScreen 384 STD detection cartridge, Cisbio HTRF detection cartridge, ScanLater WesternBlot cartridge, i3x injection module, MiniMax Imaging Cytometer, CPU and monitor originally costing $181,098. Specific Tasks: The primary task to be accomplished is to maintain the equipment within normal operating parameters to ensure accurate data collection by a very sensitive device. Task 1 on-site pre-inspection: If necessary, beyond being provided the manufacturer, model, serial number and any other requested information for the flow cytometry system, the vendor will perform an on-site pre-inspection to finalize pricing for the preventative maintenance agreement. Deliverables: On-site pre-inspection to determine pricing (if necessary). Task 2 Annual on-site inspection: Coverage will include an annual on-site preventative maintenance calibration visit to repair or replace all the necessary components required for the Molecular Devices SpectraMax i3x Multi-mode Microplate Detection Platform to perform within established parameters. Deliverables: Upon completion of the routine Preventive Maintenance inspection the vendor will provide a written summary of all tasks accomplished, including any observations and recommendations concerning any associated equipment and systems. Task 3 technical support service and software updates: Coverage will include customer technical support line for the laboratory manager to contact and troubleshoot problems with and software updates to maintain functionality. Deliverables: Vendor will provide technical service line and software updates. Task 4 Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) license for Molecular Devices platforms: Vendor must be authorized to perform preventative maintenance on Molecular Devices platforms. Deliverables: Provide proof of OEM license. Performance Monitoring: The Core Laboratory Manager will oversee the maintenance of the equipment and will address any issues directly with the vendor. The Lab Manager will discuss with the COR any performance issues relative to this contract. Security Requirements: Vendor service technicians are to have identification badging visible on their person while on VA premises, and are subject to Federal Installation Security Requirements, including inspection of any containers, equipment or vehicles as required. . Place of Performance: The equipment is located in laboratory on 3C-113 of the Research & Development Service.. Period of Performance: The period of performance will be 9/1/24-8/31/25 with 4 option years. Base September 1st, 2024 through August 31st, 2025 Option year 1 September 1st, 2025 through August 31st, 2026 Option year 2 September 1st, 2026 through August 31st, 2027 Option year 3 September 1st, 2027 through August 31st, 2028 Option year 4 September 1st, 2028 through August 31st, 2029 Please respond to this RFI/Sources Sought 36C24524Q0737 with your: 1.
