Description
Training Event via a�Rugged Staff Ride in Europe Training Event for the 36th Engineer Brigade:�4-Day / 3-Night Military Battle Staff Ride (BSR) to visit two historical sites: the Colmar Pocket, located in Alsace, France and the Battle of Remagen, located in Remagen, Germany. Requesting an extensive visit to the sites associated with the 7th Army in the Central Europe Campaign in 1945 (the Colmar Pocket and�the Battle of Remagen).� Requesting a systematic preliminary study of the selected campaign, an extensive visit to the sites associated with the campaign, and an opportunity to integrate the lessons derived from each. The intent for this training event is to increase knowledge and appreciation for 36th Engineer Brigade's history, to increase internal cohesion within the 36th Engineer Brigade staff through an immersive training event, and to better understand engineer and combined arms mobility doctrine with relevant, real-world examples in practice.� Total Students: 28 students. Rooms: 13 double rooms with twin beds and three (3) single rooms. Include:�two meals per day, a Combat Leader Workshop (CLW) conducted at unit location (date TBD, prior to departure), terrain walks and historical analysis, documentary videos and other instruction enroute, instructional materials (prior to departure--battlebooks / workbooks, suggested readings and documentary videos), bus transportation (with onboard AC, toilet, and audio / video system).
