- Synopsis of Award The Department of Veterans Affairs, Commodities Services and Acquisition Services (CSAS), in conjunction with the Office of Rehabilitation and Prosthetics located at 555 Corporate Circle, Golden, CO 80401, has awarded one (1) contract against solicitation number 36C79124Q0019. This contracts is for Commercial Automobile Third Party Liability Insurance to be provided throughout the entire United States and Puerto Rico. Market research into the Commercial Automobile Third Party Liability Insurance industry resulted in only one source. This requirement was urgent and compelling due to the previous contractor inability to complete the contract requirements in May 2024 were due circumstances outside of the contractor s control. Unfortunately, without Commercial Automobile Third Party Liability Insurance the program was forced to shut down the program for two months. The solicitation was sent to Alliant Insurance Services on June 4, 2024 and the quote, following RFQ classifications, was due on June 30, 2024.The Department of Veterans awarded sole source purchase order under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) and FAR 13.501 to Alliant Insurance Services Inc., 3500 Sunrise Hwy. Great River, NY 11739 - 1001. The period of performance is 7/1/2024 to 6/30/2029 with a base year and 4 option years. The requirement is for VA to provide opportunities for driver education and training for all eligible Veterans with disabilities and certain military personnel. Veterans and members of the Armed Forces with disabilities to learn to drive a motorized vehicle on the Nation s public highways. Depending upon the severity of the disability and the available adaptive equipment designed for utilization in today s motor vehicles, the disabled individual should enjoy the independence and freedom of mobility offered all citizens. The Commercial Automobile Third Party Liability Insurance cover 102 government vehicles when instructors are training veterans to drive with disabilities.
