- Description
- Performance Work Statement 1. Purpose. This SOW covers Preventative Maintenance Services, three times per year, for eight disintegrators owned by Strategic Communications Wing 1, Tinker AFB, OK with locations at Tinker AFB, OK and three additional detachment locations in Patuxent River, Maryland.� 2. �Scope. This service is required to provide maintenance for one model X-22 and five Model 200 disintegrators to include blade sharpening, blade replacement and other EOM described maintenance processes that will ensure the machines operate efficiently and this mitigating any potential costly repairs or replacement. 3.1. �Specific Tasks. The specific tasks involved shall be according to the standard level of maintenance service to provide the optimal performance of parts and equipment of all eight disintegrators. 3.1.1. �Preventative Maintenance of disintegrator equipment shall include at a� minimum, removing old knives, sharpen spare knives, installation of sharpened knives, calibrate installed knives to application for optimal performance, grease rotor bearings, inspect hopper for easy opening and closing to cutting chamber, inspect rotor for excessive wear, inspect screen for proper fit and wear, inspect drive belt for wear, adjust drive belt tension to factory specifications for maximum efficiency, and check sheave bolt tension and set to factory specifications. 3.1.2. �Preventative Maintenance for the Evacuation System shall include at a minimum: �inspect fan for proper operation, inspect evacuation system for leaks, lubricate and grease air system as required, adjust flow controls as needed, inspect filter, shake filter and empty debris if required. 3.1.3. �Preventative Maintenance for the Electrical System shall include at a minimum: �inspect all safety switches ensuring they function properly, inspect all starters ensuring proper operation. 3.1.4. �At the conclusion of preventative maintenance service a complete evaluation report with recommendations shall be supplied for each machine. 4. �� �Period and Place of performance. �Performance will take place at Tinker AFB, OK and three additional detachment locations in Patuxent River, Maryland.� � �Base� � � � �Award Date� to 05/05/2025 1 Option Date **05/06/2025 to 05/05/2026 2 Option Date **05/06/2026 to 05/05/2027 3 Option Date **05/06/2027 to 05/05/2028 �� ��� ��� ��� ��� ��� ��� ��� ��� ��� ��� ��� ��� ��� ��� ��� ��� �� 4.1. �Specific model numbers, serial numbers, and locations are as follows: MODEL�� �SERIAL�� �LOCATION NUMBER X22�� �352236�� �Bldg 820, Room J-24, Tinker AFB, OK 200�� �S201-1597�� �22296 Buck Rd, Bldg 2199, Rm 129, Patuxent River, MD 200�� �201-1618J�� �22296 Buck Rd, Bldg 2199, Rm 129, Patuxent River, MD 5 � Government Furnished Property (GFE). 5.1. The disintegrators are the property of the government. The government will provide one set of spare blades for each disintegrator. �The spare blade will be� necessary for the contractor to remove dull blade and replace with sharpened blade at each scheduled preventative maintenance appointment. The dull blade will then be sharpened by the contractor and exchanged at each preventative maintenance appointment. 5.2, �The government will provide escort and access to the buildings and room locations. 5.3. �Replacement parts, when deemed necessary by Contractor Technician, for the safe and optimal performance and operation of the disintegrators (GFP) will be at an additional cost to the Government. �Replacement Parts are not included in this requirement and will be evaluated on an individual basis. 6. �Contractor Provided Equipment The Contractor is required to provide all tools, lubrication and any other equipment required to perform scheduled� preventative maintenance per PWS 3.1., 3.1.1., 3.1.2., 3.1.3., and 3.1.4. 7. �Exception, Loss, Damage, or Destruction (LDD) Including Theft 7.1. The Contractor's liability for Loss, Damage, or Destruction (including Theft) to the GFP described in PWS 5.1 and shall begin when the Contractor begins� scheduled maintenance of GFP at the locations provided in PWS 4.1. and continues at Contractor location with respect to the GFP (spare blade) described in PWS 4.1. while being sharpened and stored at Contractor location until next scheduled� maintenance visit where GFP will be exchanged. Except for reasonable wear and tear to Government Furnished Property (GFP) or for GFP property consumed in performing this contract, the Contractor shall be liable for Loss, Damage, or Destruction (including Theft) to GFP (and/or Contractor� Acquired Property (CAP) used as GFP if applicable). �Compensation shall be effected by either reduced amounts owed to the Contractor or b direct payment as� determined by the Government Contracting Officer (CO. �
