- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT � FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine availability and capability of qualified businesses. Responses to this notice will be used for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for market research only.�Depending on market research and other influences, the NAF Procurement Office anticipates issuing a solicitation for this project around late September 2024. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses and the Government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received as a result of this announcement. We are seeking qualified sources for the potential to be added to our bidders list. Below is a brief synopsis of the work being performed. This is a design-bid-build with 100% design completed.�Interested general contractors shall submit their capability statement electronically, limited to five pages, which includes the required questionnaire. The capability statement shall be sufficient in detail to allow the Government to determine the organization's related qualifications to perform the work. Project: Seeking General Contractor to upgrade and repair existing intra-building telecommunications infrastructure (Inside Plant; ISP) and inter-building telecommunications infrastructure (Outside Plant; OSP) that is presently over 20-years old consisting of a mixture of CAT-3, coaxial, and sporadic runs of CAT-5 cabling. This requirement entails outside plant cabling; inside plant telephone, data, and cable television cabling; and communication room upgrades for each of twelve (12) lodging buildings at The Goldrush Inn located in Eielson AFB. This upgrade will focus on enhancing the quality of telephone services, deploying in-room wireless high-speed internet access, enhancing cable television services, and positioning the lodging facilities to take advantage of the features and benefits of next generation telecommunication services as they develop. This includes deployment of single-mode fiber between lodge facilities and interconnection of guest rooms to a local communications closet in each building using both Category 6 telecom cabling and RG-6 coaxial cabling. Digging, boring, building penetration, and pipe running are expected tasks in addition to the aforementioned. Eleven buildings constructed of wood and vinyl siding, with the twelfth constructed of stucco and steel. Existing manholes and concrete hand holes available to be utilized during OSP. The construction design will be provided once qualified sources have been selected to bid on this project. Firms interested in this effort must fill out the Past Performance Questionnaire attached as part of the 5-page limit, demonstrating recent experience completing at least three (3) similar projects with three references to include contact information, which shall include a description of their experience(s) on the projects noted. A similar project is defined as a project similar in size, scope, type and complexity demonstrating a capacity to perform. To be considered similar in size, the projects should range between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 for construction.� Recent is defined as work completed in the past 3 years. Vendors who do not send the required information, or who fail to meet the requirements identified in this Sources Sought, may not be invited to participate in the resultant opportunity.
