- NOTE: THIS IS A SYNOPSIS, NOT A SOLICITATION. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME; THEREFORE, NO QUESTIONS OF A TECHNICAL OR CONTRACTUAL NATURE WILL BE ACCEPTED OR ANSWERED. INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS SYNOPSIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. This is an UNRESTRICTED procurement. NAICS Code is 237990. The solicitation, W912P824B0050, is anticipated to issue as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). The resulting contract shall be a firm fixed-price (FFP) procurement. The solicitation will be issued on or about 09 August 2024, and a bid opening date will be on or about 09 September 2024. Description of Work: The work consists of wetland restoration in existing shallow open water area via borrow dredging from a designated borrow pit within Lake Pontchartrain. Material will be placed within the marsh creation area to the desired project marsh elevation. The work requires construction of retention dikes, surveys, and all operations incidental thereto. Degrading of dikes and additional excavation will be required after construction of the marsh platform has been finalized. The estimated time for completion is 255 calendar days for BASE WORK and 95 days for OPTIONAL WORK if OW is excersised, after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The solicitation will include 39 drawings and specifications. The magnitude of construction is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. All qualified business concerns may submit bids. Please note, bids from large business firms must comply with FAR 19.7 and FAR Clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a subcontracting plan.� The solicitation documents for this procurement will be posted on SAM (www.sam.gov).
