- Description
- Sources Sought Notice Amendment 01: The purpose of this amendment is to correct a typographical error in the anticipated specifications section. Specifically, NIST requires The AT960 SYSTEM be capable of tracking an AS1 and AS1-XL with a range of TWENTY (20) meters or longer, not thirty meters as originally written. All other terms of the notice remain unchanged. ______________________________ SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE Notice ID Number: NIST-SSN-24-7301950 Title: Leica AT-960-LR Laser Tracker System Department of Commerce Advanced Acquisition Planning Entry Number: 42496 PURPOSE The purpose of this sources sought notice is to conduct market research and identify potential sources of commercial products/services that satisfy the Governments anticipated needs. BACKGROUND The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Engineering Laboratory (EL) Intelligent Systems Division requires a Leica AT960-LR Laser Tracker System to support research on three dimensional (3D) sensors and robot arms. This research is towards demonstration and development of tests for evaluating 3D sensor systems in industry. NIST also requires additional associated hardware, maintenance, and certification on an optional basis. The Leica AT960-LR Laser Tracker System specifically, and associated optional requirements, is required because NIST currently owns and uses a Leica T-MAC Tracker Machine Control Sensor and Leica T Probe for the aforementioned research and the new system must be compatible with the existing equipment for compatibility of science and compatibility with existing programs. The salient characteristics required are identified below. All requirements are to be understood to include the requirement that the systems are compatible with the NIST-owned Leica T-MAC and Leica T Probe. NIST is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a solution that will achieve the objectives identified in this notice. ANTICIPATED BASE REQUIREMENTS One (1) Leica AT960-LR Laser Tracker System The AT960 SYSTEM shall work with the ABSOLUTE SCANNER BUNDLE (AS1+AS1-XL), which provides six degrees of freedom scanning. Please see OPTION LINE ITEM 4. The AT960 SYSTEM shall work with NIST-owned Leica T-MAC (Tracker-Machine control sensor) and Leica T-Probe (Tracker probe). The AT960 SYSTEM shall be capable of measuring distance based on both absolute distance measurement (ADM) and interferometry (IFM). The AT960 SYSTEM shall have the following system specifications: Shall be capable of tracking a spherically-mounted-retroreflector (SMR) up to 80 meters of range or longer. The AT960 SYSTEM shall be capable of tracking an AS1 and AS1-XL with a range of 20 meters or longer. Shall have a maximum permissible error (MPE) for angular accuracy of 15 m + 6 m/m or lower[1]. Shall have a MPE for ADM of 14 m or better. Shall have a MPE for IFM of 0.4 m + 0.3 m/m or better. Shall have a field of view of 360 in the horizontal plane. Shall have a field of view of 145 or larger in the vertical plane. Shall have a data output rate of 1000 Hz* or higher. The AT960 SYSTEM shall be able to be powered by alternating current (AC) mains and have a swappable battery for portability. The AT960 SYSTEM shall have a built-in overview camera to assist in tracking operations. The AT960 SYSTEM shall be tested by an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 17025-compliant calibration facility, compensate the tracker and a calibration certificate shall be provided. The AT960 SYSTEM shall be compatible with NIST-owned Polyworks and Spatial Analyzer software.
