Description
Statement of Objectives: The Virginia Army National Guard (VAARNG) is seeking to furnish 10 newly renovated office spaces in building 142 on Ft. Barfoot in Blackstone, Virginia. The purchase order for furniture will include 7 x L-shaped desks, 9 x office chairs, 17 x guest chairs, 2 x small desk, 1 x small meeting table, and 1 x large conference table. Furniture construction may consist of a wood composite core with durable laminate, light in color such as maple. All laminate type furniture should be from the same product line and similar in appearance. Office chairs and guest chairs shall have a metal frame with upholstery. Delivery and set-up/ installation is required. A pre-solicitation notice for this Request for Quote (RFQ) was issued on July 15, 2024. Interested vendors can obtain a copy of the RFQ from this site, https://sam.gov. Email distribution of the RFQ is not anticipated. The RFQ will be issued as a small business set aside under NAICS 337211 with a small business standard of 1,000 employees. While issued as a small business set aside, the Federal Prison Industries (FPI) will be afforded an opportunity to respond and considered for award in accordance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 208.602-70. An onsite visit for interested vendors will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 1100 am EDT at building 142 on Ft Barfoot in Blackstone, VA. An onsite visit is not required to respond to the solicitation; however, the vendor is responsible for ensuring all furniture fits the space. Vendors interested in attending the onsite visit must notify the contract specialist at matthew.c.guyer.civ@army.mil no later than 10:00 am EDT on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. The VAARNG intends to award on or before September 30, 2024. Quotes must be�valid through 30 September 2024. Room 114: ����� 1 L-shaped desk, 1 small desk, 2 office chairs, 4 guest chairs, and 1 large conference table. Room 115: ����� 1 L-shaped desk, 2 office chairs, 1 guest chair, one small table. Room 116A: �� 1 small desk, 1 office chair, and 2 guest chairs. Room 116B: �� 1 L-shaped desk and 1 office chair. Room 121: ����� 1 L-shaped desk, 1 office chair, 2 guest chairs. Room 127: ����� 2 guest chairs. Room 128A: �� 1 L-shaped desk, 1 office chair, 1 guest chair. Room 128B: �� 1 L-shaped desk, 1 office chair, 1 guest chair. Room 128C: � 1 L-shaped desk, 1 office chair, 1 guest chair. Room 129: ����� 2 guest chairs. General description of items to be procured: L-shaped desk: The L-shaped desk shall have space for a computer and monitors with grommets for wire management as well as additional flat space suitable for completing paperwork with customers. Features should include lockable cabinet drawers, overhead cabinets, shelving space, small closet for hanging a shirt or jacket, key board mount, metal mobile pedestal type file cabinet with lockable drawers. Construction may consist of a wood composite core with durable laminate light in color such as maple. All L-shaped desk will be the same product with either a left or right configuration to suit the room and accommodate the space adequately allowing for other items such as an office chair and guest chair/s. Small desk: The small desk shall have space for a computer and monitors with grommets for wire management. Features should include lockable cabinet drawers and a keyboard mount. Construction may consist of a wood composite core with durable laminate light in color such as maple. Office chair: The office chair shall have adjustable arm rests, casters, swivel, and have adjustments for height and ergonomics. The fabric shall be black and be ANSI rated for 300 lbs. Guest chair: The guest chair shall be a stackable armchair with upholstery and be ANSI rated for 300 lbs. Small meeting table: The small table should be approximately 3-4 feet in diameter or rectangular but must fit the space. Construction may consist of a wood composite core with durable laminate light in color such as maple. Large conference table: The conference table should be approximately 6-8 long x 3-4 feet wide with a tabletop height around 30� tall and should seat 6-8 individuals. Scope: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control necessary, to deliver, move, assemble, and set-up/ installation of office furniture. Time and Place of Delivery: The contractor shall deliver, assemble, and set-up office furniture between the hours of 0800-1600 on Monday through Friday, except on recognized US holidays or when the Government facility/installation is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government-directed facility/installation closings. Exact date for delivery and install will be coordinated with the COR. Anticipated date for delivery may be late September or October. Delivery shall be at building 142 on Ft. Barfoot in Blackstone, VA 23824. Unscheduled gate closures by the Security Police may occur at any time causing all personnel entering or exiting a closed installation to experience a delay. This cannot be predicted or prevented. Contractors are not compensated for unexpected closures or delays. Vehicles operated by contractor personnel are subject to search pursuant to applicable regulations. Any moving violation of any applicable motor vehicle regulation may result in the termination of the contractor employee�s installation driving privileges. The contractor�s employees shall become familiar with and obey the regulations of the installation, including fire, traffic, safety and security regulations while on the installation. Contractor employees should only enter restricted areas when required to do so and only upon prior approval. All contractor employees shall carry proper identification with them at all times and shall be subject to such checks as may be deemed necessary. The contractor shall ensure compliance with all regulations and orders of the installation, which may affect performance. The Government reserves the right to direct the removal of an employee from Government property for misconduct, security reasons, or any overt evidence of communicable disease. Removal of contractor employees for reasons stated above does not relieve the Contractor from responsibility for total performance of this contract.
