- BIO-RAD LABORATORIES, INC QX600 AutoDG Droplet Digital PCR System Service Contract Product Service Code: J066 NAICS Code: 811210 Place of Performance: Bethesda, MD POTS: 24-009626 Description This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. �A solicitation document will not be issued, and quotations will not be requested. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Purchasing and Contracts on behalf of the Critical Care Medicine Department (CCMD) intends to award a fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., 2000 Alfred Nobel DR Hercules, California 94547-1801 for a twelve (12) month base year and four (4) option years QX600 Digital PCR System service contract. The Critical Care Medicine Department currently owns the Bio-Rad QX600 AutoDG Droplet Digital PCR System. Bio-Rad is the sole manufacturer and service provider for the AutoDG Droplet Digital PCR System. �The service contract will provide proprietary parts, remote diagnostic, field service support, preventative maintenance, and software upgrades. �Bio-Rad does not have third-party providers and only Bio-Rad service technicians are authorized to perform service on its equipment. �If a third-party service provider performs any services on the equipment, it may violate the manufacturer�s warranty.� The continuation of the service contract is imperative in ensuring that the equipment stays within its operational state. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 � Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.� Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing this posting number, may be submitted to the CC, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, prior to the closing date specified in this announcement, electronically to the attention of Tasha Lowe, Contract Specialist, lowet2@mail.nih.gov by the due date Aug 8, 2024 and time marked in this notice.
