- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/SOURCES SOUGHT: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Farm Production and Conservation Business Center (FPAC-BC), is seeking qualified sources that can provide and deliver the requirements described below. Please note that these requirements are not finalized and are subject to change based on the responses to this RFI/Sources Sought. The information identified below is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality of the products that will be satisfactory. This RFI/Sources Sought is issued solely for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION: This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is an RFI/sources sought only. The purpose of this RFI/ Sources Sought is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 334511 (size standard of 1350 employees). Responses to this Sources Sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses, a solicitation announcement may be published. Further, responses to this Sources Sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. Requirement Description: The USDA has a requirement to acquire Leica TS13 Robotic Total Station or equivalent; Leica CS20 Field Controller or equivalent; Leica TS7 Manual Total Station or equivalent. �The USDA is seeking qualified small business vendors that can provide the items listed above. �See attached specifications document. PROCEDURES: This RFI/Sources Sought is a required component of a complete and systematic process to evaluate interested parties in order to minimize cost both to potentially interested parties and the USDA FPAC-BC. Any submission of product literature or catalog cut sheets will be treated separate from, and will have no bearing on, any subsequent evaluation of proposals submitted in response to any resulting future formal Request for Quote (RFQ). Interested parties should provide a statement of interest on company letterhead (not to exceed 1 page in length) to the email listed below. The statement of interest must include the complete company address, SAM UEI number, point of contact information, business size, socio-economic classification associated with NAICS code 334511 and an estimated performance period to complete the requirements. No basis for claim against the USDA FPAC-BC shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided. Elaborate proposals or pricing information are neither required nor desired. Any innovative and new conceptual ideas to achieve the stated objective are encouraged. At this time no solicitation document exists for this RFI/Sources Sought. This notice is for informational purposes only; it is not a request for quotes, nor should it be construed as a commitment by the USDA. Further, the USDA will not pay for any effort expended into responding to this Sources Sought announcement. All information must be sent to the POC listed below by 12:00 PM (EST) on August 6, 2024.
