Description
Special Notice Intent to Sole Source Special Notice Page 3 of 3 Special Notice Intent to Sole Source 36C77024Q0395 Special Notice Intent to Sole Source Page 1 of 3 DESCRIPTION SPECIAL NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT. This Notice is to announce that the Department of Veteran Affairs, Consolidated Mail-Out Phamacy(CMOP) located in Charleston (Ladson), SC, is proposing to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, Sole Source contract, IAW 41 U.S. Code 3304(a)(1), with Innovation Associates, Inc. (DBA iA), to Preventative Maintenance (PM) of the facility s Automated Pharmacy Fulfillment System (APFS). This is a Base Year plus One (1) Year Option. The Low Pressure Air System (LPAS) and Cold Chain Medicine Storage (refrigerators/freezers) are subsystems that make up the current Automated Pharmacy Fulfillment System(APFS) configuration currently in operation at the Charleston CMOP which iA, Inc. installed. iA is currently performing similar maintenance on the other APFS automated subsystems under an existing extended warranty. Ensuring all APFS subsystems receive PM will provide for the continued, uninterrupted operations to the facility s APFS core function. The PM being provided on these subsystems, if not done, could impact the rest of the APFS should one of those subsystems fail. Having one vendor perform all the PM on the APFS is in the best interest of the government in cost and efficiency. While this notice is not a request for quotes, any interested party may notify the network contracting office (NCO) 15, by contacting Wade Cunningham via email to wade.cunningham@va.gov, to express their ability to support this type of acquisition for future needs.
