Description
Synopsis for Solicitation Number N0018924Q0483 (Turbo Diesel Truck Engine) The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Norfolk, VA 23511-3392 intends to award a firm fixed-price contract for Turbo Diesel Truck Engine. The brand name justification will be attached when posted to SAM.gov. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation�for�commercial products�or�commercial services�prepared in accordance with the format in�subpart� 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only�solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written�solicitation�will not be issued. The requirement covers the procurement of Turbo Diesel Truck Engine. The requirement will be solicited on 15 August 2024. The items that will be procured consists of Cummins Engine Cutaways and engine component cutaways. These are needed to match the currently installed engine at the US Naval Academy, (US Naval Academy, Rickover Hall, 590 Holloway Rd, Annapolis, MD 21402) so students can take internal engine measurements using the cutaway, then make performance calculations, and compare it to the measured engine performance. Must be Cummins manufactured to be compatible with existing parts and equipment. Any potential contractor capable of demonstrating that it is qualified to perform the work to the required standards and that wishes to make a competitive quote for the contract should submit a capability statement in SAM.gov.� Through its submission, the vendor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for award to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States.� Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a vendor ineligible for award. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333618 � Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing. The Size Standard is 1500 (# of employees).� The product service code (PSC) is 2910 � Engine Fuel System Components, Nonaircraft.
