- Description
- Amendment 1 Extends quote due date to 28 Aug 2024 at noon (12pm CDT) Due to questions submitted by potential contractors, the CSS has been amended and the PWS and Equipment List were revised. Please resubmit your quote on the amended CSS Quote Sheet and include your Capability Statement and Work Experience References (see page 3, Section C of the CSS). Changes/Important Information have been highlighted in the amended CSS. The contractor questions and answers are listed below: Question: Is it the intention of this contract to include all consumables (i.e. chemicals, salt, carbon, cleaners) in the PM fully burdened labor rate? The PWS lists RO membranes in the PM category which would not typically be considered PM, should we include the cost of replacing all RO membranes in our PM rate or would that be considered RM? Answer: Under the current contract the consumables are included in the Preventive Maintenance (PM) service. The RO membranes are to be cleaned no less than twice a year but up to 4 times and conducted during a monthly PM visit. Replacement of the membranes is considered Remedial Maintenance (RM); Quote and approval are required at the time of need. Question: Due to the nature of RM would it be acceptable to omit RM major component parts/materials as they are unpredictable and only include labor, transportation, manuals, PPE, tools, test equipment, incidentals etc in the PM fully burdened rate? Answer: For PM, you are quoting a firm-fixed price per visit. It will not be broken down into labor rates/labor hours. For RM, you are quoting only your fully burdened labor rate, which includes indirect/overhead costs. Any parts/materials for RM will be quoted separately at the time the repair is needed. Question: Are all the pieces of equipment on the Equipment List functional? Answer: To our knowledge, all equipment listed on the Equipment List is functional.
