- Filter Sand for Big Bend Dam, SD On or about 22 August 2024, this office will issue Request for Quote (RFQ) for 5,000 tons of filter sand at Big Bend Dam, SD. The solicitation will close on or about 5 September 2024. This solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. Project Description: The contractor shall provide 5,000 tons of filter sand to Big Bend Dam, SD DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications. See �Obtaining Solicitation Documents� below. Delivery: 30 days after award NAICS Code: The Primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for solicitation is 212321 - Construction Sand and Gravel Mining, with a size standard for Small Business of 500 Employees. All contractors must be registered and have an active and verified account in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to receive a contract award from any DoD activity. Contractors may access the Internet site at: https://www.sam.gov/ to register and/or obtain information about the SAM program. Contractors must ensure that the applicable NAICS listed above is included in their profile prior to submission of offer.
