Description
Dillon Ranger District of the White River National Forest requires the purchase of a HAZMAT/Flammable Materials Storage Unit that meets the needs of the government to safely and appropriately store flammable materials. The required HAZMAT/Flammable Materials Storage Unit must meet the needs of the government in accordance with the stated minimum specifications of this solicitation. Required delivery is 90 days after award of contract. Contractors must include delivery lead time with their quote. Contractors unable to meet the 90 day delivery requirement also should submit their actual lead time for consideration. HAZMAT/Flammable Materials Storage Unit: Provide and deliver one pre-engineered, portable hazardous material storage unit to selected location. This unit shall be FM approved and suitable for storage of combustible, flammable liquids and other hazardous materials. Unit shall not require specific foundations or supports. All materials used in construction must be new and unused. Use of wood in construction is unacceptable. Manufacturing quality compliance shall be in accordance with ASTM, AISI, and AWS materials and fabrication standards. The unit must meet the model building codes, model fire codes, safety and environmental regulations: Current Additions: - International Building Codes (IBC) - BOCA National Building Code - Standard Building Code - Uniform Fire Code - BOCA National Fire Prevention Code - Standard Fire Prevention Code - BOCA Building Officials and Code Administrators - National Electric Code (NEC/NFPA 70) - OHSA (29 CFR) - EPA (40 CFR) - California Administrative Code - NFPA - National Fire Protection Assoc. - AWS - American Welding Society - AISC � American Institute of Steel Construction - ANSI - American National Standards Institute - ASTM - American Society for Testing and Material - USPC � United States Product Code Flammable Materials Storage Unit Minimum Specifications: - 2-Hour Fire-rated HazMat Storage Unit with dimensions of approximately 14' x 8' x 8.5' LxDxH. - Steel Shelving with 2"" lip installed along entire back wall, Seismic, Free Swinging. - Interior LED Lighting (Class I Div I - 300 watts maximum) � solar or battery powered. - Loading Ramp with approximate dimensions: 54in x 60in (W-L), Built of no less than 10-gauge steel. - Non-combustible exterior, roof, and interior walls (not insulated for temp. control). - Roof pitched for rainwater runoff. - Carbon steel drum platform (steel grating) in removable sections for easy sump access. - Minimum of 300-gallon capacity sump. No mechanical fasteners used. - Spill containment sump utilizes continuously welded heavy gauge steel sheets. - One Set of Double Doors on front of building. - Two-point latching on the inactive leaf and three points on the active leaf. - Interior door release and hold open device. - Interior and exterior surfaces coated with a corrosion resistant, two-part epoxy primer and urethane topcoat. Designed for Outdoor Use. - All metal-to-metal surfaces prime painted prior to assembly for added weather protection. - Static grounding and bonding angles. - Include 8' long grounding rod and cable - Shipped loose for customer installation. - Hazard labeling / placards. - 4"" riser for forklift and / or crane slings for easy placement or sump inspections. - Four hold-down angles for bolting to foundation (Seismic and Wind Load anchoring). - Passive ventilation in accordance with NFPA 30 to ensure six (6) air changes per hour. - Air inlet vents equipped with louvers and screens to provide air flow while preventing wildlife entry. - Vertical shutter, 3-hour fire rated, held open by 165 F fusible link. - Include manufacturer's warranty. *****08/21/2024 *****(UPDATED) - Amendment 0001 to solicitation #1282B124Q0102. The purpose of this amendment is in response to questions regarding this solicitation. Question 1: Is hold open device just a steel hold open or fusible link door closer? Answer: Hold open device for doors shall be standard hold open or latch. Question 2: Does the light need to be class 1, div 1 or would class 1, div 2 work? Answer: Lighting and electrical system shall meet National Electrical Code - NEC 500.5(B)(1) standards. Interested contractors shall review the attached SF30 and acknowledge receipt of this amendment by returning a signed copy of the SF30 to the listed point of contact of this solicitation.
