Description
The 185th Air Refueling Wing (ARW) is currently seeking sources for P-23 Fire Truck Engine Replacement Services. This is not a solicitation announcement. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict 185th ARW to an ultimate acquisition approach. No contract will be awarded from this announcement and requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary. This Sources Sought Notice is in support of market research being conducted by the 185th ARW to determine potential sources capable of fulfilling all requirements associated with the P-23 Fire Truck Engine Replacement Services. Requirement: Shipment: The contractor is responsible for the shipment of the 1996 P-23 firetruck from the 185th Air Refueling Wing to the repair facility. Once repairs are completed and P-23 firetruck functionality check is completed the contractor is responsible for shipment back to the 185th Air Refueling Wing. Repair: The contractor is responsible for the removal, and replacement of the 8V92TA 2 stroke Detroit diesel engine on the 1996 P-23 firetruck. All new fluids and filters will be included in the contract. Functionality test: The contractor will complete a full functionality test after engine is replaced. The engine must be properly tuned. Functionality test will include all firetruck water pumping components and ensure the truck is capable of pump and roll (pumping water while driving). Warranty: The contractor must provide a 1 year warranty on any work that they complete. Firms responding to this sources sought notice are also requested to provide the 185th ARW with capability statements, which need to include at a minimum: -Company Name -Point of Contact Name, Title and Number -Registered in System for Award Management (Yes or No) -Business Status (8(a), Small, Hubzone, Woman-owned, etc.) -Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code -Capabilities statement should be submitted via e-mail to BOTH POCs listed within this announcement no later than 10 a.m. Central Standard Time (CST) on Thursday, 5 September 2024. -SUBJECT of Email Responses: Must state ""Sources Sought, Sol.
