- Description
- Please see the attached TRD for the description of the requirement as well as the below information that was asked in pervious questions and answers for this requirement. 1) Please clarify if AFTC currently has a Core network in 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G. Our core network and license supports 2G, 3G, and 4G. 2) Please clarify how many base stations AFTC currently has in stock and in which technology do they operate in. o 4x 2G/GSM transceivers (one each: 850, 900, 1800, & 1900 MHz frequency bands) o 1x 3G/UMTS transceiver (Band 2 or Band 8) o 1x 4G/LTE transceiver (Band 3 or Band 7) o 1x 2.5G/1xRTT & 1x CDMA EV-DO data mode transceivers 3)In the 5G sectionthe TRD says: 5GgNodeB(forexistingTowerSites)supportingSub6GHzFrequency1xBand n78 & 1x n79andTwo(2)RadioHeads(for2sectors)areincluded -Does this mean QTY 1 RRH for each 5G Band, or QTY 1 RRH for each sector in each 5G band for a total of 4 RRHs? Two radio heads (180 degrees of coverage/90 degrees per RRH) were to keep the costs low for purchase. Having 4xRRH (full 360 degree coverage) is a nice to have feature, but not a requirement. We can easily adjust or move the RRH(s) to point towards our intended target. 4a) Does the sponsor already have GSM and UMTS Base stations that will connect to the 2G, 3G core network? Yes 4b)Does the sponsor have the requisite BSC and RNC? Yes 4c) Does the sponsor only require the SMSC and GSN for the 2G and 3G Core network? Do they have an existing vendor provide the MSC and HLR/VLR network element? We have existing software that allows us to control/manage our HLR/VLR and use its features.
