Description
AUGUSTA WHEELCHAIR QUESTIONS RFP 36C24723R0011 1. Reference the original solicitation it states in the pricing schedule for mileage trips > 50 miles but please see below from page 17 on the original solicitation, states 25-mile radius.  Can you please clarify the mileage radius? 6.7 For all one-way trips within a 25-mile radius of the CNVAMC, the contractor shall receive the flat rate awarded for that trip. In addition to the flat rate, the contractor shall also receive a mileage rate for each mile that is traveled beyond the 25-mile radius. Payment for mileage rates on any travel beyond the 25-mile radius shall be limited to the shortest travel distance the beneficiary(s) is being transported, calculated using the VetRide software system (or, alternatively calculated via Bing Maps in event of a VetRide system outage). Initial access to the VetRide system is controlled by the CNVAMC transportation office (and secondarily by the COR). The contractor s dispatch team and drivers will maintain their own individual accounts to the VetRide system, and utilize that system to receive, accept, schedule, and invoice for every trip. The VetRide system will be accessed by the contractor s dispatch team at https://third-party.vetride.va.gov/app/login, and by the contractor s vehicle drivers via QR-code enabled mobile app. Response: Fifty miles or less 2. We would like to know the following; a. Is there an incumbent Response: Yes b. Is there a maximum value set for this contract? Response: Max value is $5 million c. How many wheelchairs are currently being utilized on this contract? Response: Not applicable -CNVAMC is pursuing a contract d. How many sedans are currently being utilize on this contract? Response: Not applicable -CNVAMC is pursuing a contract e. Why did the mileage and trips count totals change so drastically  from the previous solicitation? Response: There is an increase in the catchment area f. Did the patient totals change for the Augusta market while the  coverage area stayed the same? Response: No g. Will the sub-contractor past performance be considered as  equivalent to that of an offeror? Response: No h. How much time will be allocated from contract award to fully  operational for successful bidder? Response: 1 Week
