Description
The Government intends to award a modification to contract W56HZV-20-C-0124 pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) and (B) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) and (B), to RENK America LLC (CAGE #02978) for�the acquisition of Transmission Hydro-mechanically Propelled Transmission [HMPT] Operational Reliability (THOR) HMPT800 Series transmissions, ancillary hardware, and System Technical Support (STS) services. This contract action will add 352 transmissions (plus ancillary hardware at varying quantities) and 35,966 hours of STS support to the contract ceiling in support of the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV), Bradley Fighting Vehicle System (BFVS), Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS), and Paladin Integrated Management (PIM) Vehicle platform. Additionally, this contract action will extend the contract by six-months from 12 June 2025 to 11 December 2025. The Justification and Approval was approved by U.S Army Senior Procurement Executive (SPE) on 04 September 2024. RENK America LLC is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the HMPT 800 Series transmissions and will be responsible for providing new, remanufactured, reset, upgraded, repaired, and spare transmissions, as well as ancillary hardware or kits common or unique to each platform (e.g., Transmission Control Module [TCM], Transmission Electronically Controlled [TEC] Cable, and Shift Tower). STS efforts will include engineering and technical services to support the needs of the aforementioned vehicle platforms. These efforts will also provide program management and worldwide transmission Field Service Representative (FSR) support. This requirement is sole source to RENK America LLC but may include subcontracting opportunities; please contact RENK America LLC. �The estimated release date for the Letter Request for Proposal is on or about 15 October 2024.
