Description
Industry Day Overview: The Naval Sea Systems Command, Headquarters (NAVSEA HQ) intends to hold an Industry Day to brief the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Mission Modules (MM) Development, Engineering, Production and Sustainment (DEPS) program on 1 November 2024 from 0900-1700 PST. The Program Executive Office Unmanned and Small Combatants, LCS MM Program Office (PMS 420) will host this Industry Day to brief the LCS MM DEPS program and to solicit industry feedback on the proposed program strategy. PMS 420 is the Navy's lead Program Office for the development of rapidly deployable modular naval capabilities and innovative small-unmanned surface technologies capable of recognizing, intercepting, and preventing threats to the United States and her allies. Programs include all efforts pertaining to small-unmanned watercraft (e.g. attritable sea drones capable of communications, data collection, logistics, etc.), various LCS payload delivery systems with associated mission modules, LCS training facilities, mission package sustainment, and all operating and integration software necessary to employ these systems. The primary mission of the LCS platform includes countering littoral mine and surface threats to assure maritime access for Joint Forces, while mission modules combine various naval systems (e.g. vehicles, sensors, weapons, etc.) and support equipment that integrate onboard Naval vessels via standard interfaces. The objective of this event is to provide Government information and solicit industry feedback on the proposed LCS MM DEPS program strategy. The LCS MM DEPS Industry Day will provide an overview of: the LCS MM DEPS vision; mission packages and mission modules; the Mission Package Support Facility (MPSF); and the program requirements and objectives. The Government will make available draft LCS MM DEPS information, as it is ready for distribution, to approved contractors that pre-register. The Government will seek feedback on this information during the LCS MM DEPS Industry Day. Details for accessing this information will be posted in a separate update to sam.gov. Industry Day Information: The Industry Day event will be in Port Hueneme, CA at Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC). See Attachment ""LCS MM & sUSV Industry Day Registration Form to register for Industry Day. If the company is approved for Industry Day, the Government will send a calendar invite to each company's designated representative identified on the attached registration form. Each company is restricted to four participants. A virtual environment or teleconference number will not be available for the Industry Day presentation or tour. One-on-one engagement sessions will be conducted during the afternoon of 1 November 2024 and from 1300 to 1700. Engagement sessions are one-on-one meetings between the Government and individual approved companies and are intended for industry to ask questions and provide feedback to the Navy. Limited engagement session slots are available on a first-come, first served basis. Indicate on the registration form if your company is interested in scheduling a one-on-one engagement session. The Government will forward assigned timeslots to individual companies via separate correspondence prior to Industry Day.
