Description
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS) intends to award a purchase order for livestock to Thomas D. Morris, Inc. located at 4001 Millender Mill Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136-3827. The Contractor will be required to deliver livestock November 21, 2024, in accordance with the attached Statement of Work and Specifications. The Foreign Animal Disease Diagnostician training, commonly referred to as FADD training, is just one of the technical trainings the Veterinary Services, Professional People Training Staff facilitates for federal and state field veterinarians. The purpose of the FADD course is to train federal, state, and military veterinarians in the determination of a differential diagnosis of foreign animal diseases that are not present in poultry and livestock in the United States. The training ensures that veterinarians obtain the knowledge and skills to be able to recognize FADs in the field. This training is fundamental in developing a knowledgeable and highly functional field staff in the event of a foreign animal or emerging disease outbreak. It is suggested for all federal and state field veterinary medical officers receive this training as part of their position. During the training, we study eight top foreign animal diseases as well as additional presentations regarding diseases important to our nations agriculture. This is a notice of intent and is not a request for competitive quotations. Award of the purchase order is estimated to be October4 16, 2024. Questions concerning this acquisition must be in writing and directed to the Contracting Officer, Leah Schultz via e-mail at Leah.h.schultz@usda.gov. Responses must be received by 12:00 P.M. eastern time Wednesday, October 16, 2024, and must include detailed information on your product or service. Phone calls will not be accepted.
