- Amendment 2 - 36C24725Q0081 Hoptel Lodging Services Amendment The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions received in response to the solicitation and to change the deadline for Quote Submittals. The deadline for submitting quotes is hereby changed from October 17, 2024 at 1:00 PM ET to October 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM ET. Questions & Answers Question 1. Is there a current budget the customer is hoping to keep each room cost at? Answer: The Government is not disclosing the government budget requirement. Question 2. In addition to what is mentioned in the solicitation, are there any other amenities being requested? For example, wheelchairs or disability-assisted rooms, a kitchenette, pool, or exercise room. Answer: Disability assisted is needed based on individual veteran. Special accommodations, if required, will be identified when a reservation is requested. Question 3. Is the 21 monthly rooms a minimum or a maximum occupancy? Answer: As noted in the Solicitation, the government estimates the number of Lodging Services (rooms) required for the new contract is 250 rooms annually, which is approximately 21 rooms per month. Maximum occupancy unless unforeseen circumstance arise. Question 4. Do you know if the Individuals occupying the room cover the room security deposit, or is the contractor required to cover all security deposits? Answer: No security deposit required from the Veteran. The vendor takes care of any required security deposit. Question 5. Could you clarify the expected proportion of accessible rooms or any additional accessibility standards the VA expects beyond ADA compliance? Answer: None other expected other than disability assisted. Question 6. Are there any additional reporting requirements beyond the daily stay reports, such as monthly performance summaries or detailed usage statistics? Answer: No Question 7. Could you provide more detail on any seasonal or fluctuating demand trends for the estimated 250 rooms, and whether there is flexibility in managing unexpected increases in demand? Answer: There are no seasonal or fluctuating trends driving the estimated number of rooms. There is no flexibility in meeting the requirements under the solicitation. Question 8. Are there any additional amenities or services (beyond those listed in the SOW) that would be particularly valuable to the VA for enhancing the comfort and satisfaction of veteran beneficiaries? Answer: No Question 9. What specific metrics or benchmarks will the VA use during periodic inspections to assess contractor compliance with the quality standards outlined in the SOW? Answer: We use an inspection check off sheet.
