Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice only. It is neither a solicitation nor a request for a quote and it does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. The Government will not pay nor reimburse any costs of preparing this response. The purpose of this notice is for market research purposes only and to make appropriate acquisition decisions to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses and their Small Business Administration (SBA) size classification in relation to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing with a size standard of 1,000 employees. The Contractor needs provide evidence that they can provide an automated nucleic acid extraction system capable of producing high quality DNA and RNA from a variety of specimen types. a) The instrument will be fully automated while producing high yields of nucleic acid from formalin-fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue specimens. b) The system must demonstrate proven superiority to other extraction methods by producing large, intact nucleic acid fragments and high molecular tag coverage when applied to targeted capture based next generation sequencing panels. c) High throughput system that can process multiple specimens in a short duration of time. d) Open and flexible system allowing use of any magnetic particle-based kit to meet the application demands. e) Protocols already loaded into the system for extraction of a variety of specimens included but not limited to (FFPE) tissues, blood, buccal swaps, saliva, and bone marrow. f) Depth, height and weight not to exceed any limitation that would exceed placement and operation on standard laboratory benchtop. Provide evidence your firm can provide items from all the manufacturers listed to include past/and or current contracts for the same requirements and any other compelling evidence to help the Government determine your company capabilities. To be eligible for award, prospective offers must be registered in SAM.gov, https://sam.gov/content/home. Responses to this notice shall be sent via email no later than 09/24/2024 at 1:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Telephone and facsimile responses will not be considered.
