The principal purpose of this requirement is to provide supportto the maintenance and development of the GMAOs Goddard Earth Observing System (GEOS)model and its application to data assimilation, weather and climate prediction, and variousscientific studies. The work will include supporting the development and validation of individualmodel components within the GEOS modeling system; maintenance of the GEOS Climate Diagnostics Package; the development and integration of external components, such as the seaandland-ice models within the GMAOs GEOS modeling and assimilation system; andsupporting the use of the GEOS modeling and assimilation system for the various applications innumerical weather prediction, sub-seasonal to seasonal prediction, and decadal climateprediction. NASA will conduct this acquisition as a small business set-aside competition. This competitive acquisition will result in a Cost-Plus-Fixed Fee (CPFF) Indefinite DeliveryIndefinite Quantity (IDIQ) requirement with the ability to issue CPFF task orders. The contract will have an effective ordering period of 5 years from the contract effective date. The anticipated contract award date is April 30, 2025, with a June 1, 2025 contract effective date. The contract will be performed onsite at NASA GSFC.
