Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District (NAB), has a pending requirement for construction services (dredging) for the Codorus Creek Shoal Removal Project in York, PA. This is a pre-solicitation announcement for information purposes only and is not a solicitation. The York Flood Risk Management Project requires maintenance of the flood damage reduction channel along Codorus Creek. Regular channel maintenance is required every few years to meet the flow required by the authorized project. There are two (2) locations of channel maintenance for this specific project. The first location is just south of the Route 30/Arsenal Road bridge with two (2) shoals requiring removal. The second location is at the confluence of Codorus Creek and Pourhouse Run with three (3) shoals requiring removal. These shoals contain mostly pebbles, cobbles, vegetation, wood debris, and gravel with some sediment. Removal of the shoals requires in water work. In accordance with FAR 36.204 � Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Construction duration is 60 days from Notice to Proceed. Additional information in accordance with the Scope of Work will be included in the solicitation package. The solicitation will be an invitation for bid (IFB). An award will be made to the responsible Offeror whose bid is determined to be the lowest priced to the Government and responsive to the solicitation requirements. It is anticipated that the solicitation be released on or about 22 November 2024 with bids due on or about 7 January 2025. The IFB announcement will be posted to SAM.gov, but the full IFB will be on the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) at https://piee.eb.mil.�A PIEE account will be required to submit a bid. For assistance with registration, please see the training site https://pieetraining.eb.mil/wbt/xhtml/wbt/portal/overview/vendorRegister.xhtml. This solicitation will not be issued in paper format and bids will only be accepted via PIEE. Vendors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database to receive a government contract award. Vendors must also be registered in Representations and Certifications Applications (included in SAM). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable (237990) to this acquisition must be in vendor�s SAM representation as a WOSB.�
