- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Supplies: CTX QuantiFERON Reagents THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS OR PROPOSALS The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 17 (NCO 17) intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract for the Central Texas Veterans HealthCare System Pathology and Laboratory Department. This proposed contract action is to procure QuantiFeron reagents/ consumables for the Central Texas Veterans HealthCare System Pathology and Laboratory Department. Base Period: 07/01/2024-06/30/2025 Option Year 1 : 07/01/2025-06/30/2026 Option Year 2: 07/01/2026-06/30/2027 Option Year 3: 07/01/2027-06/30/2028 Option Year 4: 07/01/2028-06/30/2029 Classification Code: 6550 NAICS: 325413 Government intends to award a BASE + 4 fixed-price option contract to Qiagen Sciences LLC, 19300 Germantown Road, Germantown, Maryland 20874. This acquisition is conducted in accordance with FAR 13.501(a) the items peculiar to one manufacturer. The Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem that only one source is capable of providing supplies that are compatible in all aspects with existing systems presently in use. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the government. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Any interested party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit supporting evidence to be reviewed. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. This evidence shall include a letter from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) stating vendor is an authorized distributor per clause 852.212-72(c). The vendor shall also provide the country of origin the supplies are from. Information must be sent to the Contracting Specialist, Teresa Arzola, Teresa.Arzola@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No cost to the government will arise as a result of contractor submissions of responses to this announcement or the government use of such information. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competitively sensitive information contained in their response. No sub-contracting opportunity is anticipated.
