- Sources Sought Notice Page 4 of 4 This is an unrestricted full and open sources sought notice for a services requirement to assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy by requesting industry input. To assist the Government with this determination, if you are interested in the requirement described below, submit the following to helen.woods@va.gov by 1700 Thursday 12 December 2024: Your company name and SAM UEI number. A brief statement of your company s capability specific to this requirement for a maximum of two (2) pages. Form responses concerning capability will not be considered. If your company is a SDVOSB/VOSB, your capability statement should address VAAR 852.219-75 (JAN 2023) (DEVIATION) s limitations on subcontracting and how your company can provide the requirement within the 50% restriction on subcontracting. If you are a certified service provider for Caterpillar, documentation to substantiate this status may be included as additional pages. (Optional) Any in process applications with SBA for your business size status or similar? Requirement Synopsis: The VA facility located in White City, OR, has a requirement for the annual inspection and maintenance for two (2) 3512 Caterpillar generators as well as the once every five years inspection and maintenance for their Caterpillar paralleling switchgear. For the 3512 s annual inspection and maintenance, the facility is looking for either full or green service. Green service must include a full spectral analysis yearly with results supplied to the facility to determine if the oil needs changed out of the three-year green cycle for the crankcase oil. The requirement will also include triannual replacement of engine batteries, as well as Cooling System services, such as coolant replacement. The annual full spectral analysis will also be used to determine if the coolant needs replaced out of the three-year cycle. More details including final scope documents will be provided if a solicitation is issued. The anticipated NAICS code is 335312 and the anticipated Product Service Code (PSC) is J059. Companies providing responses must be authorized to work on the referenced Caterpillar equipment and provide substantiating documentation. If no qualified and capable companies provide response by 1700 Pacific on 12 December 2024, VA may sole source this requirement to a Caterpillar service center. The Government thanks industry for their assistance with determining the appropriate acquisition strategy for this requirement. Please note, telephonic requests will not be honored at this time. Please respond to this posting by email only to the point of contact provided above. Any out of office responses are not applicable to this posting unless specifically identified as such.
