- The requirement will be sole-sourced to Boyd Company, 10001 Linn Station Rd. Louisville, Kentucky 40223. The VA Medical Center Lexington requires services to provide preventive maintenance to three Caterpillar (Cat®) 3508 generators at the Troy Bowling campus, 1101 Veterans Drive, Lexington, KY 40502. Boyd Company will be able to complete this requirement for the Troy Bowling campus, Lexington, KY. Boyd Company is being chosen to fulfill this requirement because the contractor has been found to be a responsible large business via SAM and Fed Data Check. Contractor has quoted the VA with a reasonable price, found acceptable to the requesting service. The overall contract value does not exceed the SAT. This procurement is being conducted under the authority cited at FAR 6.302-5 (Authorized or Required by Statute) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) (Soliciting from a single source under SAT). The NAICS code is 811310 with a size standard of $12.5 Million Dollars for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the Adrian.king@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
