- Industry Day Patient Lifts Place of Performance: Industry Day Location TBD Date: Tentative - December 1, 2025, through December 5, 2025. This announcement constitutes a Special Notice. THIS IS NOT a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Department of Veterans Affairs Veteran Health Administration, Prosthetics Sensory Aids Service (PSAS) has a need for Patient Lifts & Slings (Hydraulic & Electric) that allows caregivers the ability to transfer Veterans between a bed, a chair or other similar resting places. The purpose of this acquisition is to establish a reliable supply source for contracted items used by Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMCs), ensuring consistent product availability across all facilities nationwide. This notice is to determine interest and capability of potentially qualified Businesses (all sizes) relative to the North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code 339113 Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing. To support an informed acquisition decision, the Government will host an Industry Day. If the Government shutdown is still in effect, additional details will be provided to all interested vendors regarding whether the event will be held in person or virtually. All oral presentation appointments will be scheduled in advance. At this time, specific requirements have not been finalized. However, each interested vendor is expected to provide 2-3 lifts for physical demonstration along with a standard bathing sling that corresponds with lift. While additional models may be discussed, space constraints will not allow for more than 2-3 lifts per vendor. As part of the oral presentation, each vendor will have 1 to 1.5 hours to present the key features of their patient lifts with corresponding slings and address the topics outlined in the attached questions (provided below). Vendors are asked to bring supporting literature for the demonstration models to include sling types plus available sizes with lifts presented and any additional models (not physically present) that fall within the two general categories of interest. . Products we are interested in physically viewing with vendor presentations are Hydraulic Lifts and Electric Lifts accompanied by corresponding slings. If you are interested in attending the Patient Lifts Industry Day provide the following information: Company Name, Point of Contact Information (name, email and phone number), Company Social-Economic Status, Company Business Size for the NAICS Code listed and responses to questions (below). Further instructions will be provided once we have the list of interested vendors that will be participating in the Industry Day. Interested vendors are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. Vendor Questions for Industry Day: Lifts What (unique) features does your product have? What are the features of your lift/slings your customers find the most useful? What advancements have you seen in this category of device/equipment? What products in this category do you have in development? What sling types and sizes are available with your lift? Are your slings machine washable and machine dryable? Where are your products manufactured? Have you had supply chain issues, and if so how did you adapt? Have you had product recalls? What is the length of warranty? What is your warranty process and how does that work? What are your capabilities for expedited delivery? What are your capabilities for warranty replacement and delivery from time of notification that the device is inoperable? How is return shipping of device for warranty replacement handled? Additional Information: Does your company have a Federal Supply Schedule Contract, if so, provide the contract number and the FSS Contracting Officer s point of contact information? Please provide the current commercial market price for each item that your company offers that meets the Hydraulic and Electric Patient Lifts salient characteristics? This information will be used for budgeting purposes and will not be shared.
