- CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES 36C25626Q0122 - Steam Line Insulation and Jacketing The purpose of this amendment is to: 1) Extend the due date for responses from 11/18/25 to 8:00am (CST) 11/28/25; 2) provide responses to vendors questions; and 3) to include a site visit to provide prospective contractors with an opportunity to look at the locations for the steam line insulation and jacketing and determine their performance strategy for accomplishing the requirement. The site visit will be advantageous to the contractors in submitting a well-informed proposal. The site visit is scheduled for 11:00 am (CST) November 21, 2025. Place: 2200 Fort Roots Drive, North Little Rock, AR 72214 - Building 170. Point of Contact: Justin Harper 501-257-5307 Justin.harper2@va.gov Interested parties shall provide the contact information via email to arlene.blade@va.gov of the person(s) attending the site visit to the Contracting Officer no later than 12 pm (CST) 11/20/2025. See attached map for meeting location. Vendor Questions: Question: How much pipe and what size pipe is in the trench? Answer: The steam pipes are 1-1/4 and the condensate pipes are 2 . Question: How much pipe and what size pipe is in the tunnel? Answer: For pipe count, obtain this information at the site visit. Question: Is there a count of number of elbows, valves, flanges, etc.. that would need to be insulated as well? Answer: There are only ten elbows that need to be insulated. Question: Should aluminum jacketing be applied to the full 240 feet (steam and condensate combined), or only to the 120 feet of the Building 111 trench section? Answer: Aluminum jacketing for the full 240 ft. (See attached specifications). Question: What is the size (diameter) of the steam and condensate piping, or are there building plans/drawings available that show these details Answer: 1 ΒΌ steam and 2 condensate Question: Could you please clarify whether the work area is a basement-level tunnel or fully underground trench? Answer: It s in a concrete tunnel that has removable lids. See attached pictures. Question: What is the anticipated project start date and expected duration or completion time frame once awarded? Your Answer: We want to get the pipes insulated before they start freezing. 30 days from the award date?
