- Description
- The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements to produce the C-5 Battery Control Electronics Module (6130-01-535-7275UC, P/N: 716110-2) C-5 Edge Lighted Panel and Annunciator Dimmer Circuit Card Assembly (5998-01-599-8130UC, P/N: 716163-2) C-5 Single Board Computer Circuit Card Assembly (5998-01-666-0869UC, P/N 4V10442-101A) The National Stock Numbers (NSN) and Part Numbers (PN) are listed above: The BCEM is an aircraft component that is part of the Emergency Power System (EPS) on all models of C-5 aircraft and provides means to charge the battery. In addition, it is used in conjunction with the auxiliary power unit (APU) system on C-5M model aircraft. The Edge Lighted Panel and Annunciator Dimmer (ELPAD) Circuit Card Assembly primary function is to convert 28VDC (Volts Direct Current) to 5VDC (Vols Direct Current) for the C-5 Aircraft. The Circuit card is a crucial component in aircraft instrumentation. The Single Board Computer CCA is common component to four (4) next higher assemblies. There is one (1) Single Board Computer CCA contained in the Communication/ Navigation Panel (CNP), Cursor Control Panel (CCP) and Cursor Control Device (CCD) next higher assemblies. Two (2) identical single board computer CCAs providing redundant processing capabilities are contained in the Automated Flight Control System (AFCS) Panel next higher assembly. The CCA consists of an ARINC 429 communications interface and a 32-bit processor. The ARINC 429 communications interface converts received serial data signals (RX1 and RX2) from the line receivers into data that is usable by the 32-bit processor. The 32-bit processor receives commands to control serial communications and to convert the received data into column and row addressing signals. The column and row addressing signals are used by the Integrated Panel A1 to provide the appropriate display or light an indicator. Switch position signals from Integrated Panel are converted into digital data by the 32-bit processor. The digital data is then transformed into serial data for transmission by the ARINC 429 communication interface CCA. The serial signal (TX1) from the ARINC communication interface is applied through the line driver on the Interface CCAs to the aircraft. NAICS Code 335311 (BCEM) - Power, Distribution and Specialty Transformer Manufacturing NAICS Code 334418 - Printed Circuit Assembly (Electronic Assembly) Manufacturing More details can be found in the attached document for this posting.
