- Sources Sought Notice Sources Sought Notice Sources Sought Notice *= Required Field Sources Sought Notice DESCRIPTION This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) NOTICE FOR CONSTRUCTION FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. Project Title: 693-20-102 | Construct Chiller Plant | Wilkes-Barre VAMC The following information is provided to conduct market research to determine the availability of contractors that can perform the work for this project at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center. After completion of market research analyses, the Government will determine whether to limit competition among the small businesses or proceed with full and open competition as other than small businesses. Work to be performed: This project includes all necessary work to install a new chiller plant located at the Wilkes Barre VA (VAMC), with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requirements, industry standards and all applicable code requirements. The project outcome will be a new Chiller Plant at the WBVA campus. Key elements include but not limited to: construction of a building addition, three chillers, cooling towers, backup diesel generators with fuel storage, relocation of bulk oxygen tank, and parking realignment/site access in area associated with new plant and utility support systems. This project must provide complete and functional systems in accordance with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requirements, industry standards and all applicable code requirements. This applies to each system and every system, as a whole, which is affected by this project, even if only partially modified. The systems and equipment must maximize energy efficiency to the maximum extent practical. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and supervision as necessary to accomplish the work. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Specifications and Drawings, and shall follow all applicable Federal, State and Local regulations and standards. The maximum time for completion of the project is 600 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $20,000.000.00. Contractors that have the ability to perform the work for this project are requested to respond as follows: Statement of interest Capability statement Pricing for completed projects of similar scope Address if you would perform the work as a prime contractor, joint venture, VA Mentor-Protégé Program, or potential teaming partners Include company name, address, Point of Contact, UEI (SAM) number. Provide business type and size standard based on NAICS code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction (i.e. Large Business, Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Women-Owned, etc). � � � Contractors who do not respond with complete information will not be considered as responsive.
