Description
The purpose of the amendment is to respond to vendor questions and extend the solicitation response deadline. The solicitation response deadline is hereby extended to 4:30 pm ET Wednesday, February 4, 2026. The period for questions is now closed. Please see responses to vendor questions below: Can you please provide the incumbent contract number for reference? To obtain the incumbent contract number, please submit a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Privacy Officer, Dorothy Baker, at Dorothy.Baker3@va.gov. When was the most recent annual inspections completed for each of the facilities covered under this scope of work? December 2025 Would the government accept either NICET or CFAT/CFAD? NICET certification is required. CFAT/CFAD certifications are highly recommended but not mandatory. Can you please confirm if we are to perform smoke detector sensitivity testing every year per the solicitation, or every other year in accordance with NFPA 72? Smoke detector sensitivity testing must be performed annually, as specified in the solicitation, regardless of NFPA 72 s alternate schedule. Will the programs for each panel/site be available for our techs to program the new monitoring central station? Yes. FDNY requires filing paperwork to notify them of a change to the monitoring central station. Since these are federal sites, will filing to notify FDNY be required? Yes, filing paperwork with FDNY to notify them of a change to the monitoring central station is required, even though these are federal sites. Are the elevator recalls done during normal operating hours or are they scheduled after hours? Elevator recalls may be performed during normal operating hours Is the expectation that the contractor is to include in our price now any unforeseen repairs between now and the end of the 5-year contract? No. Please see the Cost Schedule and Statement of Work Section VI.I. Quotes in response to this solicitation shall include an annual labor rate for unforeseen repairs. After award, if a repair is required, the Contractor shall provide a detailed cost estimate that includes the applicable annual labor rate and itemized pricing for all necessary parts and materials. More previously asked questions will be answered in a future amendment.
