- Notice of Intent to Sole Source Award THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Acquisition & Property Operations. USFWS Fire Management Office intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold to: Riegl USA, Inc. 14707 W Colonial DR Winter Garden, Florida 34787 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334519, Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing. The object of this sole source award is to have continued access to the POSPac software provided by Riegl USA, Inc. The VQ-580II Airborne Laser Scanner requires an annual license renewal for proprietary software of Riegl USA, Inc. The software allows for the operational data acquisition, the phases of system integration, and system verification & testing. The software package is also essential for the kinematic LiDAR data processing. It is designed for managing, processing, analyzing, and visualizing data acquired with the airborne laser scanner. Riegl USA is the only qualified contractor as the technology and equipment is specific to their company. Riegl USA, Inc. is an international leading provider of cutting-edge technology in airborne, mobile, terrestrial, industrial and UAV-based laser scanning solutions for applications in surveying. Riegle has been producing LiDAR systems commercially for over 40 years and focuses on pulsed time-of-flight laser radar technology in multiple wavelengths. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
