Description

The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) on behalf of the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, MD, intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Inova Health Care Services, 8095 Innovation Park Dr, Fairfax, Virginia 22031-4868. The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1 (a)(2), only one responsible source. The award is essential to supplement sterile processing services and ensure continuity of surgical and clinical operations at WRNMMC following catastrophic damage to the in-house SPD. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 622110 - General Medical And Surgical Hospitals. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. No solicitation is available. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit a capabilities statement demonstrating their ability to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
