- THIS IS A NOTICE OF AWARD TO A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. The National Park Service is awarding American Bureau of Shipping; a large business, the contract to provide ABS Inspection procurement for Isle Royale National Park, which is being purchased for $6894.00 ABS performs mandatory annual inspections for the Ranger III. ABS is to conduct required inspections and surveys as required by Class and U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) in 46 CFR 90.10-35 and 90.35 for vessel classification. Federally owned vessels must be classed by ABS per 46 USC, subtitle II, Part B, 46 CFR 42.07-35, Chapter 33 - Inspections Generally, Sec. 3316.
