Description IAW FAR 12.6: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR 5.207(a), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is for commercial items under FAR Part 12 and will be conducted using lowest price technically acceptable that conforms to all elements of this solicitation. The Defense Logistics Agency requires the purchase of Brand Name Avidyne Signal Data Processors (PN 700-00185-001). The following are the CLIN�s, titles, and quantities of each: CLIN 0001 � Signal Data Processors (NSN: 5895-01-654-5633GA; PN: 700-00185-001), qty of 5 This is a Brand Name Only solicitation for an Avidyne Corporation Signal Data Processor (Part Number 700-00185-001). The description of the Signal Data Processor is also known as the TAS605A processor which is now called the SkyTrax 605. The Signal Data Processor is an essential component of the avionics system, computing the relative altitude and range of threats from nearby transponder-equipped aircraft. Without this vital component, the UH-1N's ability to perform its intended missions safely would be severely compromised due to reducing pilot awareness and an increased risk of mid-air collision. This procurement is critical to restoring full operational capability and ensuring the safety and successful execution of assigned UH-1N missions. No substitutions other than an Avidyne Signal Data Processor (Part Number 700-00185-001) will be considered for award. Dates and places of delivery and acceptance and FOB point of each item are as follows: CLIN Delivery Dates Place of Delivery and Acceptance FOB 0001 60 Days ARO Origin Origin FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Products and Commercial Services, applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Products and Commercial Services, will used to find the lowest price technically acceptable quote that conforms to the solicitation, which must be an approved Avidyne Dealer and provide the exact part number/quantities that is being requested in the solicitation. Offerors are to include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Products and Commercial Services, with its offer. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Products and Commercial Services, applies to this acquisition.
