Description

1. The 2d Contracting Squadron, Barksdale AFB, hereby submits an intent to sole source in accordance with (IAW) 41 U.S.C. 1901 and 41 U.S.C. 3304. 2. Prometheus Security Group Global (PSG), doing business as LDIA Holdings, LLC, has been identified as the sole source capable of providing the necessary updates and additions to the existing Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Access Control System (ACS) installed at Building 5546, AFGSC Headquarters (HQ). This justification outlines the exclusive nature of PSG's offerings, the technical requirements of the project, and the critical need for compatibility with the existing infrastructure. Given the proprietary nature of the VICADS system, the critical need for compatibility with existing infrastructure, and the operational efficiencies gained by sourcing from a single manufacturer, it is clear that Prometheus Security Group Global is the only viable provider for this project. Any alternative approach would not only compromise the security and functionality of the IDS/ACS systems but would also result in significant additional costs and risks. Therefore, procuring these services from PSG via a sole source acquisition is both necessary and justified. 3. Subject to FAR 5.207(16)(i), All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
