- THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. THIS IS NOT THE INVITATION FOR BID, NOR INFORMATION FOR BID. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Detroit District intends to solicit for the Ontonagon, Port Wing, and Cornucopia Maintenance Dredging project located in Ontonagon County, Michigan and Bayfield County, Wisconsin. The project includes, but not limited to, mobilize to Ontonagon Harbor in Ontonagon, Ontonagon County, MI, Port Wing Harbor in Port Wing, Bayfield County, WI, and Cornucopia Harbor in Cornucopia, Bayfield County, WI . Dredge harbor locations as shown in plans. Place material dredged from Ontonagon and Port Wing Harbors at nearshore placement site as shown in plans. Place material dredged from Cornucopia (Outer) Harbor at nearshore placement site as shown on contract drawings. Harbors may be dredged in no specific order. Demobilize when work is complete. Should option(s) be awarded, mobilize dredge to Cornucopia (Inner) Harbor, dredge between the limits and place material as shown in plans. Demobilize when work is complete. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is intended to be issued as a firm fixed-price contract competitive 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction (Dredging), which as a small business size standard of $37 million, Product Service Code Y1KF � Construction of Dredging facilities. General Information: The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Anticipated Solicitation Posting Date: March 2026 Anticipated Bid Due Date: April 2026 The solicitation package materials, documents, drawings, specifications, and attachments to the anticipated solicitation will be available only electronically and via the PIEE Solicitation Module and/or SAM.gov which is free of charge. Hard copy documents will NOT be supplied by the Government to any interested parties as a result of this pre-solicitation notice or the upcoming solicitation. Please note the Government will not be maintaining a bidders list during the solicitation period. However, vendors are strongly encouraged to review the ""Interested Vendors List"" found on sam.gov for this requirement. In order for interested contractors to conduct business with the Federal Government, contractors must be registered in the System for Award Managment (SAM) prior to any award. Contractors can access SAM free of charge at www.sam.gov.
