Description

This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is being posted to satisfy the requirement of DFARS PGI 206.302-1. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Program Office, PMA-201, Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a firm fixed price modification under contract N0001924C0004 to Lockheed Martin Corporation, Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC), Archbald Pennsylvania. This modification will add FY 2027 & 2028 production of the BDU-59C/B LGTR to the contract. Contract Award is anticipated for quarter 2 (Q2) of fiscal year 2027. This SSN is published for informational purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). This requirement is anticipated to be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302?1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. LMMFC is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the LGTR and as such is the only company that has the requisite knowledge, production tooling, facilities and technical data necessary to meet this requirement. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: This Notice is not a request for proposals. This Sources Sought is being published as a market research tool and is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responsible, interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice. The Government will take into consideration all information received prior to the closing date of this notice. A determination not to compete this contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses, and the Government will not pay for any responses received from potential sources as a result of this notice. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. No telephone responses will be accepted. Any information submitted by respondents to this SSN is strictly voluntary.
